Fischoff’s S.A.M. I Am (Stories & Music) with Verona Quartet @ St. Joe County Public Library
November 15 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Verona Quartet performs an interactive musical retelling of A Bad Case of the Stripes as part of the St. Joseph County Public Library’s Explore-a-Story event! Immerse yourself in a story while exploring your library and taking part in early literacy activities for ages 0-5 and caregivers. Stay later for an all-ages music performance by Verona Quartet!
Explore-a-Story is an annual early literacy event where each year we will focus on a new book to help build early literacy skills. Come and enjoy an immersive storytelling experience along with various activities to follow the performance. All ages are welcome to attend.
Fischoff’s S.A.M. I Am, Stories & Music program, reinforces the joy of reading through the power of music. Using music to crack open language and storytelling, Fischoff Educator Award winner, Verona Quartet, will perform A Bad Case of Stripes, a colorful, imaginative book by Caldecott Honor-winning author and illustrator David Shannon. Join us for this fun, fantastical tale as Camila Cream learns how to become comfortable in her own skin, followed by activities and a meet-and-greet.
2:30-3:30pm: Free, all ages performance in Leighton Auditorium
3:30-4:30pm: Hands-on activities, book giveaway and meet and greet in the Community Center Ballroom
