Jasper String Quartet was selected as the winter of the 2016 Educator Award.

Jasper won the Senior String Division Silver Medal for both the 2008 and 2009 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competitions. As the winner of the Fischoff Educator Award, the Jasper String Quartet received a coveted endorsement from Fischoff, a cash award, and a week of community outreach programs in the South Bend region from October 24-28, 2016.

The Jasper String Quartet presented:

• Children’s programs to 5 classrooms featuring the book Let’s Get a Pup! as part of Fischoff’s award-winning S.A.M. I Am (Stories & Music) program
• Orchestra workshops for middle school and high school students
• An evening performance at the History Museum
