Gala proceeds will fund the 53rd Annual Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the largest and longest-running chamber music competition in the nation, and innovative music education programs for children throughout the region.

Formed in 2024 at Michigan State University, the Halite Quartet is dedicated to performing music of a wide variety of styles at the highest possible level, ranging from standards of the saxophone quartet repertoire to new music by emerging and established composers. Members of Halite have received recognition in numerous national chamber music competitions, including the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, Music Teachers National Association Chamber Music Competition, and Coltman Chamber Music Competition. All members are graduate students in saxophone performance, studying with Professor Joseph Lulloff.
