DESCRIPTION:All are invited to the final Fischoff Chamber Music Academy recital honoring Pam & Dan Chipman for their transformational gift to this wonderful educational program. Hear Academy ensembles perform their capstone performance at the stunning LaBar Recital Hall\, O’Neill Hall of Music\, University of Notre Dame. This concert will include the music of Grady\, Dvořák\, Dubois Foley\, Clarke\, Verdi\, Fuchs\, J.S. Bach\,  Stamitz\, and Schubert performed by The Sunshine Quartet\, Music For\, SBYSO Trumpet Quartet\, Goshen Trio\, Sonorous Sisterhood\, Elkhart Blue String Quartet\, and Elkhart Gold String Quartet. SUMMARY:Fischoff Chamber Music Summer Intensive: Colour of Anyhow Guest Artist Recital
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a duo performance by members of Thalea String Quartet\, Kumiko Sakamoto and Christopher Whitley. \nInspired by their shared love of Canadian folk music\, pop\, and Western classical music\, Colour of Anyhow draws on a wide array of musical influences to celebrate the songs\, stories\, and experiences that bring us together. The duo’s original arrangements feature violin\, voice\, guitar\, and electronic elements\, creating musical and stylistic through lines that connect centuries of musical traditions.  \nSeeking an outlet for their many musical interests\, Sakamoto and Whitley formed their duo in 2020 for a series of virtual “at home” performances\, including a livestream for the National Art Centre’s #CanadaPerforms series.
